Airtel-Huawei Ascend P1 LTE - first 4G smart phone in India

There is tremendous business collaboration between the popular Indian Mobile network Airtel and Chinese handset maker Huawei. Both companies have aimed to achieve a hike in the field of smart phones in the continent. Ascend P1 LTE is the first step of the process which comes with awesome features.

Airtel Ascend P1 LTE is the first 4G smart phone that enables LTE-TDD connectivity in India. Now Airtel can only provide 4G data services in the Country. Here the smart phone uses Circuit Switched Voice Fall Back technology for supporting voice calls on 3G. Airtel Ascend P1 LTE comes with Google’s Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich platform and 4.3 inches Super AMOLED TFT LCD HD display with Corning Gorilla Glass 2 protection.

The smart phone is powered by a dual core 1.5GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 processor with inbuilt graphic acceleration. The handset also sports 8 mega pixels rear camera with auto focus and LED flash. HD video recording with 1080p will be available. Airtel Ascend P1 LTE has decent memory options like 1GB Random Access Memory (RAM) and 4GB internal storage memory. There is micro SD memory card slot on the handset which provides up to 32 GB expandable memory.

Unfortunately the 4G network is only available in Kolkata now. Users who live outside the city won't be able to use 4G on the smartphone. According to the latest business news in India, the telecom plans to start the 4G services in Pune and Bengaluru. Apple iPhone 4S and Apple iPhone 5 also provides the features of 4G connectivity worldwide earlier.
